Felipe Fraga had three practice sessions to acclimatise to the layout of the Imola circuit, which receives this weekend's third round of the double Formula Renault Alps. The pilot Tech1 Racing learned quickly, and at the end of the day he finished as the third fastest after leading much of the final session.

"I managed to pick up the pace of the track, and the day was extremely helpful. I could learn the track and already working on the set-up for qualifying and the race. I led much of the last training session and finished third. So I can not complain" Felipe Fraga said.

The Russian Daniil Kvyat was the best of the day with 1min44s028. The Frenchman Norman Nato scored 1min44s258, just ahead of Fraga, who made 1min44s390. The pilot of Tocantins, which one of the races in Pau (France), in double final round, finished third, is confident to repeat a podium, or even going to fight for victories.

"I'm pretty confident. The car is great and we have good chances, which puts us in a position to seek victory. It was great to take the hand lane right away, even in a place known for bringing sadness to the Brazilian people. Winning here would be fantastic", he said.
